1. How Is Aquegel Applied?

Coat a cotton swab with a thin layer of Aquegel. Use your personal preference to determine the amount of coating needed on cotton. Using the cotton swab, apply a thin coating of Aquegel to the inside of the nostril. (*do not exceed 1/2" insertion of the cotton swab - use cotton swabs at your own risk). Reapply every 10-12 hours or as needed.

8. What is a plasticized base?

Plasticized Base is a pharmaceutical-grade anhydrous base intended for both dental and topical applications.  It is an ideal vehicle for Aquegel due to its unique resilience to extreme temperatures. Paraben-Free.

Plasticized Base is a soft, odorless, fragrance-free, anhydrous base exhibiting fulsome and soothing properties.

9. Does your facility use animal testing?

No! Aquegel and its ingredients have never been tested on any animals of any kind!

10. What formula is best for me?

All four of our formulas will help with cracked skin, dry nasal passages, bloody noses, etc. It just depends if you prefer the added benefit of Zinc, Lavender, or Eucalyptus. Zinc has been found to aid in the fighting off of the common cold, Eucalyptus has natural decongestant properties that have been found to aid against allergens, and Lavender has been associated with its calming qualities that can aid in relaxation and sleep.

11. Does your product contain petroleum jelly?

No. Aquegel does not contain petroleum jelly.

You may have heard that it isn’t safe to use petroleum products (like petroleum jelly, Vicks, etc) with oxygen or in your nose...true!  But unlike the rumors of pneumonia, the concern of petroleum products is flammability.

Petroleum products are ignited very easily when exposed to high oxygen concentrations and can function as an ignition source.

The American Lung Association encourages safety precautions including the use of water-based products instead of petroleum-based lotions or ointments.  Aquegel is more than 50% water (weight by volume).

12. What do I do if I can't open the jar?

13. How often should I apply?

Use Aquegel as much as you desire to keep your nose moist!  Aquegel has no use or age restrictions.

Activated by your body temperature, Aquegel's base will begin to dissolve, releasing micro-encapsulations of water and active ingredients. Our base continues to dissolve, one layer at a time, providing up to 12-hours of moisture relief.

14. Can I use Aquegel elsewhere other than my nose?

Yes! Aquegel can be used both nasally and topically.  Common topical uses are psoriasis, eczema, dry skin, & cracked fingers!
